KOYO:
Mindfulness Coach and Meditation Facilitator
High School Teacher, World Traveller, Corporate Employee and Entrepreneur
As an educator with over a decade of experience in high school teaching, I've worn many hats—from classroom instructor to year advisor and head teacher. Through these roles, I've witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by both students and fellow teachers amidst high workloads, school stress, and personal challenges. Despite pouring my heart and energy into supporting students' education, I found myself, at times, grappling with low mental wellbeing, emptiness, and burnout.
My journey toward healing and resilience led me to explore meditation and mindfulness practices. Leaving my full-time teaching position in 2022, I embarked on a diverse path, including corporate work and global travel, while also completing my meditation teaching education. Now, as a certified meditation facilitator and mindfulness coach, I'm driven by a passion to share the transformative power of mindfulness with others.
Like many, I initially viewed meditation as daunting and inaccessible, reserved for monks or yogis. However, through my own practice, I've discovered that meditation takes many forms—beyond sitting in silence—and can be integrated into everyday activities like dancing, singing, or journaling. My mission is to make mindfulness and meditation inclusive and approachable for everyone, regardless of age or background.
As an entrepreneur and advocate for change, I'm committed to supporting leaders in cultivating empathy, helping teachers prioritise self-care, mentoring student through growth and change, and assisting families in fostering authentic connections.
Let me guide you on your journey toward holistic wellbeing and self-discovery. Together, we can embrace the transformative potential of mindfulness and unlock a path to a more fulfilling life.
